Boohoo Plus Clothing Haul

As someone who has been keenly following what’s happening with boohoo Plus over the last five years, I’m pretty excited that things are improving. Not only are there now more options in the plus size range, fits are better and the size range is bigger. Nice work boohoo – that’s the kind of progress we want to see! I picked up a few pieces from boohoo lately that I thought would see me through spring and summer – here’s a peek at what I picked and how it fit.

Boohoo Plus Jersey Frill Hem Smock Top (26)
Boohoo Plus Floor Sweeping Jersey Maxi Skirt (26)
Boohoo Plus Leopard Floaty Shorts (26)
Boohoo Plus Jersey Pleated Midi Skirt (26)
Boohoo Plus Button Detail Shirred Midi Dress (26)

The shorts have already been worn a lot (I’m wearing them as I type this!) and I know they’re going to be worn so much over summer. I kind of wish they were a little longer at the back, because I do feel quite exposed in them but they’ll be great for wearing around home and at the beach.

I will definitely need to get the maxi skirt hemmed because even though it’s meant to be “floor sweeping”, it’s just a little bit too long for me! I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and still not gotten it done because I’ve been so busy – must make an effort to get to the tailor so I can live my summer goth dreams without tripping over.

I ended up sending this terracotta skirt back as it was just the teeniest bit big and not quite the orange terracotta I expected – in person the colour is not quite so vibrant. This is the same style as the animal print one I already have that y’all go bananas for whenever I wear it (you would have seen me wearing it here, or on the regular over on the ‘gram). It’s also available in stone, black and snake print, just in case you love a midi skirt as much as I do.

As always, I bought these while they were on sale. Boohoo have regular sales (they have one at the moment for 50% off!) so make sure you keep an eye on my sale page to see what the current specials are.

Since I ended up returning a few pieces, I wanted to give you a bit of feedback on the returns process. I’m stoked to report that it’s really easy. You jump online to the boohoo returns portal, let them know which items you want to return and why, pay for the postage (all online – easy!), and print your returns label. If you’re like me and don’t have a printer, that’s okay – they can send you an email with the label as an attachment. I usually head down to my local Warehouse Stationery and get them to print it for me. For the actual returns, I turn the bag my order came in inside out (this is why you don’t just rip it open!) and put the things I’m returning in there and seal it up with tape, attach the label to the front and drop it off at the post office. The refund is processed pretty quickly, it only took a few days for mine to come through. All done, nice and easy.

Have you shopped with boohoo before?
Let me know which of the pieces I picked is your favourite.

Love both skirts on you Meagan. That dress looks nice, like you said the straps and buttons let you down.

Thanks Fiona! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more dresses in this style – fingers crossed I find some that have better straps!
