Farmers Plus Size Fashion A/W 2014

Last week I went to check out the new season fashion at Farmers’ autumn/winter 2014 launch and was beyond impressed by how much their plus size ranges have improved from past seasons.  It was beautiful, it was on trend, and the fabrics felt exquisite!

Farmers Plus Size range autumn/winter 2014

There is a new plus range this season – Estelle is available in sizes 16-22, and the pieces are to die for! Gorgeous fabrics, well tailored cuts and on trend designs that reflect the things that are available in straight size brand Stella.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces for this season:

Farmers Plus Size Monochrome AW141. Wild Child Pleather Jacket $139.99; 2. Wild Child All Over Stud Tee $49.99; 3. Wild Child Stripe Ponti Jacket $89.99; 4. Wild Child Textured Pencil Skirt $49.99; 5. Salucci Collection Brogue Ballet Flat $59.99; 6. Wild Child Chevron Stripe Top $49.99; 7. Yourself Cropped Marino Drape Cardi $79.99; 8. Melie Bianco Maribel Whipstitch Tote $169.99

I feel like a little kid at a candy store  – so many great pieces to choose from! I’m especially looking forward to trying on that biker jacket, it’s so nice! And also, how about that tote?

Farmers Plus Size Luxe AW14

1. Wild Child Sleeveless Drape Top $59.99; 2. Boston & Bailey Paisley Scarf $39.99; 3. Estelle Lover Cape $119.99; 4. Xcesri Broguing Detail Shopper $79.99; 5. Xcesri Animal Front Wallet in Leopard $39.99; 6. Yourself Bead Detail Top $69.99; 7. Salucci Collection Brogue Trim Ballet Flat $59.99; 8. Xcesri Scallop Stud Wallet in Berry $39.99

This picture doesn’t do the Estelle Lover Cape justice – it’s such an amazing fabric that you have to touch it for yourself. I’m looking forward to trying that on too. And those ballet flats. And all of those accessories. All of the things!!! There is also a magnificent pair of gloves that I tried on while I was at the launch, and I’m telling you now I am going to be getting my hands on those – they’re exactly what I’ve been looking for for years.

Farmers has definitely upped their game in terms of plus size clothing, I’m very impressed!

Unfortunately Farmers doesn’t have an online store at the moment, but they do have plenty of locations around New Zealand.  To find your nearest Farmers store, please visit their website.

What’s your fave piece from Farmers’ new season styles?

Hi Meagan, I see this post is almost a year old, are you still liking Estelles product offering? Just doing some research on plus size clothing! Thank you! xo

Hey Tahnee – there are a few pieces that I really love the prints on, but I’m not a huge fan of some of the silhouettes as they’re personally not my style.

Great to see clothes like this. For years the only clothes around for the curvier
looked frumpy and if they were stylish were so out of the average price range. Farmers here I come.

I agree Elaine! There are some great things happening in plus size fashion at the moment and I’m glad that NZ is on the boat! xo

Just shot in to Farmers during my lunch hour. Tried on the biker jacket, WOW!! Love love love it, it’s soft pleather, comfy and not binding across the shoulders. Thanks so much for the heads up Megan *hug*

Great to hear! I haven’t had a chance to try it on yet (the sample they had at the media preview wasn’t in my size), but I’m so looking forward to it! I hope you’re going to buy it Tracey! xo

Just trying to figure out how I am going to hide some of these things in my wardrobe from Ck!

    • February 25, 2014 / 1:48 pm

*cough* You could always leave them in my wardrobe? I think you should go through you wardrobe and get rid of the things you don’t wear (sell them/donate them) and then restock 😉

    One of each please!

I started reading this post and was SO excited until the “sizes 16-22” bit .. sigh, as usual, bigger-fats are left out of anything that might even be close to on trend. My size 28 arse is sad 🙁

Same here Anna! It’s a start though. Don’t you worry, I’ll keep talking to them about it, because my size 24-26 arse wants pretty things too 😉

I had heard a rumour a while ago that this was coming, so pleased to see its finally arrived. Plus size girls have been limited to NANA clothes for sooooo long that its great to see younger and funkier designs appearing. I am in love with the striped jacket and the pencil skirt….def has my name on it!!!

Farmers has a new plus size buyer who is doing a great job! I think that they obviously have great taste! xo
