My name is Charlotte, and I am 18-year-old girl from Wanganui. I moved to Auckland in 2013 to study live sound and event production at MAINZ, to further my career in the live sound industry. I love music, art, comics and expressing myself.
I wanted to be part of this project because I read Meagan’s blog post on nzgirl about her life and learning to love herself, and it inspired me to accept myself and who I am.
My experience with body shaming has been a big part of my life, I was bullied about my weight for the most part of my childhood and I used to hate my body as a child and a young teen.
I remember seeing Charlotte’s comment on my nzgirl post, so I was super excited to have her be part of my project. I read every single comment that you guys leave on my posts, and always get super excited with every comment notification. I love that I’ve created a community where my readers are inspired not just by me, but by each other. Thanks to each and every one of you!
