Work, you say? Well I kind of have three jobs, so what I wear varies greatly depending on what one I’m doing! I thought instead that I would feature a dress I bought specifically with work in mind. Last year when I was interning with the lovely photographer Bryan Lowe, I was asked to assist him at a corporate event where we would have the opportunity to photograph the Prime Minister. Immediately I thought “oh no, what will I wear?!” because as someone who has been a student for the last few years, I very much had a student’s wardrobe – all jeans and tees and things that were appropriate for wearing to a club but definitely nothing suitably corporate. I rushed out to the nearest TS14+ outlet and the ladies there were a tremendous help – they gave me stacks of dresses to try on and I finally found one that looked great on me and that I could afford on my meagre student budget.
Actually, that’s a bit of a lie. My dad kindly gave me some money to get a new frock and some shoes that weren’t jandals or trainers or sneakers, because my budget was *whomp whomp* non-existent. So thanks Dad, for getting me this beautiful dress!
I really like the detailing at the front, and even though I’d usually wear it with a body dress underneath, the only one I have is ¾ sleeved and it’s way too warm for that kind of carry on! I’m baring my fat arms and being comfortable, stuff anyone who dares tell me to cover them up!
Wow, check out those pearly whites! Sometimes my smile can be a little scary…

Yes! The heavier weight of the fabric has kept me warm all through winter. Not so suitable for summer, but that’s okay. Will just have to go shopping instead 😉
