I read an interesting book for uni recently, Alternative Femininities: Body, Age and Identity by Samantha Holland. It made me think, when I saw the Aussie Curves theme for this week, about how I define femininity. I don’t think it has to be all frills and foof and pinkness – femininity is how you define it for yourself. For me today, that’s a bit of lace, a skirt, and some orange lippy.

LOVE THE LACE. I always feel feminine in black and lace – it’s so elegant. I like to think of myself as feminine, but I don’t think I own a piece of pink clothing at all. Would love to see a post about femininity and tattoos.
