Trend Tip: Summer Sandals

Summer is wedding season, and a good friend of mine is getting married in a few weeks. Dilemma – I need something to wear! I have the frock sorted, but after staring blankly into my shoe closet I realised that I no longer own any sandals – how did that happen? That means I have to go shopping – and so, here are ten of my fave pairs of sandals for this summer (no, I am not buying them all, no matter how much I might think I need them – 2014 Meagan is attempting to save…). Bonus – most of them are on sale at the moment!

Therapy "Jesse" Sandals from Number One Shoes

Polly Multi Strap Gladiators from Boohoo.com

I’ve featured these on  my blog before, but I still really like them so they are making a reappearance. I am a big fan of the gladiator style of sandals because I like to know my sandals won’t slip off my feet.

Janna Sandals from Number One Shoes

Janna Sandals, $22.99 from Number One Shoes

These won’t go with the dress I’m wearing to the wedding, but they’re on my “must have” list anyway. They’ll go with lots of things in my wardrobe, and in fact would be perfect with the dress I’m wearing today. Do you think I have time to go shoe shopping before I start work?

Garage "Josie" Sandals from The Warehouse

Garage “Josie” Sandals, $20 from The Warehouse

These are the perfect colour to go with my dress! Not sure about the style of the ankle though – it’s not adjustable so may not fit? Guess I’ll just have to pop in store and try them on! Anyone tried these? :et me know how they fit!

Therapy "Everton" Sandals from Number One Shoes

Therapy “Everton” Sandals, $37.99 from Number One Shoes

These shoes make me think of the human body – ribcage anyone? I’m pretty sure it’s only because they’re white, but whatever, they’re cool. They come in black too, if you’re not keen on ribcage sandals.

Glitter jellies need no words. Not wedding suitable, but perfect for a whimsical summer.

Adalina Sandals from Number One Shoes

Not keen on a sandal that goes up over your ankle? These are pretty cute!

Linley Sandals from Number One Shoes

Linley Sandals, $27.99 from Number One Shoes

These cute sandals come in blue, white and black – pretty much something for everyone! Loving the flowers on these, and pretty sure a pair will have to find their way in to my wardrobe…

Cindy Sandals from Rubi Shoes

Cindy Sandals, AUD $20 from Rubi Shoes

These come in black or white, and they remind me of a pair I had at high school some 15 years ago (feeling old now!) – I’m going to have to get my hands on another pair of these…

What style of sandals are you wearing this summer? Any on this list that you’d like to add to your wardrobe?

Hey Meagan, I have a pair of the Garage “Josie” Sandals from The Warehouse. The ankle fit is fine for me, but I find the strap from the toe to the ankle is a bit loose. I am a size 9 – 10, they fit well for a wide foot, unlike most of the gladiator type sandals. I would definitely suggest trying them on. Good luck! 🙂

Thanks for the heads up! I’m definitely going on a sandals mission this weekend!

Totally buying the Jacey from the Warehouse if they’re in a decent size 11. I hate when feet get kind of overheated and puffy and ankle straps stop being comfy any more!!

Pretty sure Rubi is available at Cotton On here in CHCH too 🙂
