Plus Size Fashion at Farmers [Spring/Summer 2013]

In case you couldn’t tell from the hot sunny days and the random torrential downpours, spring is here! And with it, new season clothing.  Farmers was nice enough to give me a wee sneak peek at what they have in store for us curvy gals, including a couple of plus size brands that they haven’t previously stocked.

Aussie Curves: Vulnerable

AUSSIE CURVES headerAt the beginning of this year, I challenged myself to develop a healthy relationship with my body and become more comfortable in front of the camera. All year I’ve been working on this, and the Aussie Curves challenges have gone a long way towards pushing me out of my comfort zone and in front of my camera. So far this year I have shot (and exhibited) a self portrait series that included nude photos of me* and pictures of me in a bathing suit, as well as countless outfit posts.

This week’s Aussie Curves theme was vulnerable, and here I am: without make-up, and without clothes.

WIWT: The NZFW 2013 Edition (Day Three)

NZFW_WIWT_DAY3_01When I walked in to the Viaduct Events Centre yesterday morning in between downpours, the first thing I noticed was the sea of black. As soon as the weather turns rubbish, everyone seems to forget the florals and bright colours of spring. I felt right at home! Fortunately I had a bright turquoise bag to liven up my outfit a little. WIWT: The NZFW 2013 Edition (Day Two)

So yesterday (day two of NZ Fashion Week) I had classes all day and was only able to attend one show. Fortunately, that show was Trelise Cooper, so it was a perfect finish to the day.

NZFW_WIWT_DAY2_01A minor side note – yesterday it was POURING down. I’m lucky that my lovely boyfriend drove me to and from the show and took photos of my outfit when I put it on today especially so I could share it with you. Best boyfriend ever. View Post

Boohoo.com Wardrobe Bingo

Boohoo.com got in touch with me recently, and invited me to join in a game of Wardrobe Bingo! Fashion should be fun, and this is a wonderful way of both giving you a sneak peek inside my closet and pairing up clothes that I might not usually put together.Boohoo Wardrobe BingoThis is how it works:

First, I picked 5 items of clothing for each part of my body – 5 items of footwear, 5 accessories, then 5 tops and 5 bottoms.  Then I numbered each item in each category from 1 to 5, and randomly picked numbers to put together my final outfit, mashed up from different styles and clothes from my wardrobe!
