I’m pretty picky when it comes to flowers – I know what I like (peonies, hydrangeas, vintage roses and amaryllis, for the record) and what I don’t (carnations, most chrysanthemums and most lilies). The same goes for florals in fashion – I’m either all in or all out and I think I might have … maybe four? floral pieces in my wardrobe (two of them are made from the same fabric). One of those select few pieces is this kimono from Kiwi designers DMONIC INTENT.

I popped by NAKED Empire – The Style Syndicate last weekend, to check out what amazing things they had in stock. They stock stuff from DMONIC INTENT, SYRE, L.S.D. (Little Sister Designs) and Ahoy Cutie to name just a few, and while I was there I tried on a gorgeous “one size fits all” DMONIC INTENT kaftan. I didn’t expect it to fit me, because DMONIC INTENT is a straight size range that goes up to a 14 and I’m obviously much bigger than that, but when the girls urged me to try it on… well.
Yesterday was the last day of New Zealand Fashion Week for media, and the second to last show I’ll be attending this week. The Miromoda show was the one I’ve been most looking forward to this week – so much so that on Tuesday I even had my nails done in honour of DMONIC INTENT’s collection (which they showed in the Miromoda showcase yesterday)!
