Even though midi lengths are usually my hemline of choice, I can’t overlook a good maxi. I recently picked up this Evans maxi from EziBuy, and couldn’t resist sharing it with you this week because it’s perfect for summer.
I know right? A long black skirt for summer. Before you give me the side eye – the material is lightweight so it’s nice and cool to wear and it’s not completely black, there are spots!
I’m pretty sure most of my maxi skirts are either black or monochrome (without checking my cupboard, I think I have about seven of them. Probably more, my wardrobe is a bit of an abyss). It’s not intentional, it just kind of happened. One thing they have in common though – they’re all lightweight and ideal for summer. I love this one in particular because I’m a little obsessed with spots at the moment – they seem to have snuck into my closet without me noticing!
I paired my maxi with a crop top today because holy mackerel, today it was HOT. Clear blue skies, blazing sun, perfect beach weather … but a little too hot for this pasty princess. I hid in the shade with an iceblock after spending my morning in the garden. I think I’m going to need to invest in some more crops for this summer, if today was any indication of the weather we can expect!

I can’t say I’ve ever really thought of which length skirt I prefer… Not maxi’s because I have too hard a time trying to decide what shoes to wear; it has to be long enough for my chub rub prevention shorts so probably a bit higher that a midi… Anyway back to you… You look fab! One girl can never have too many black skirts! ❤️❤️
Love the skirt AND crop top, I will definitely need to make some time during my lunch break to go down to EziBuy to have a look at their skirts, as I need something to wear during the summer break that isn’t for work 🙂

What a nice skirt! Like you, I’m loving spots this season too. There’s something really feminine about them. I like my skirts straight or A-line just below the knee. Seems to be the best length for me, especially for work. I also love wearing stripes!

Isn’t it funny how patterns sneak into our wardrobes without us noticing? It happened to me with black and white striped tops! I love this crop and your maxi skirt is divine! And yes, this heat thing.. hmmm, it came on pretty quick, I don’t feel prepared for summer yet! 😀
