17 Sundays: A Love Story

Poverty Bay from Kaiti Beach in Gisborne, New Zealand

Poverty Bay as seen from Kaiti Beach

This week I have spent some time reflecting on the things that I’m grateful for. The beautiful country I live in. A job that allows me to travel and work from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Being my own boss and setting my own hours so that I can spend time with my family. For the support of so many wonderful people and businesses that allow me to do what I do – blog about style and self love to empower women. Women like you. Women like me.

Monochrome

Is there anything more classic and simple than monochrome? While I’m traditionally a black on black girl, I picked up this Estelle polka dot dress at Farmers (you may have seen it in this video I made for them) and I really love wearing it so I wanted to style it for a more casual everyday look.

What’s in my bag?

I have quite a few handbags (as in, so many I’m too embarrassed to count them). I tend to get one bag and use it over and over until something else catches my eye, which is why I rarely show you my handbags in my outfit photos unless there’s something new and exciting about them. I thought that for Aussie Curves Handbag week, I would show you my current favourite, with a wee sneak peek of what my handbag essentials are regardless of which bag I’m carrying.

Beach Wedding

Meagan Kerr - Wedding Guest - Autograph Maxi Dress

My beloved baby brother (who is 28 years old and well over six foot, so clearly not a baby anymore) got married at the beginning of March, toes nestled in the sand of Matai Bay in Northland. It was a gorgeously sunny day, with the sun streaming down, and I’m so glad I had decided to wear a cool flowing maxi dress.
