Aussie Curves: Vulnerable

AUSSIE CURVES headerAt the beginning of this year, I challenged myself to develop a healthy relationship with my body and become more comfortable in front of the camera. All year I’ve been working on this, and the Aussie Curves challenges have gone a long way towards pushing me out of my comfort zone and in front of my camera. So far this year I have shot (and exhibited) a self portrait series that included nude photos of me* and pictures of me in a bathing suit, as well as countless outfit posts.

This week’s Aussie Curves theme was vulnerable, and here I am: without make-up, and without clothes.

Aussie Curves: LBD

AUSSIE CURVES headerThe little black dress should be a staple in every girl’s wardrobe – it’s a great go-to piece that can be pulled out to solve any clothing emergency and can be dressed up or down depending on where you’re going. That being said, I don’t actually have an LBD! Terrible, I know – obviously must be remedied by a shopping trip…

What I do have is a body dress.

Aussie Curves: Work

Work, you say? Well I kind of have three jobs, so what I wear varies greatly depending on what one I’m doing! I thought instead that I would feature a dress I bought specifically with work in mind. Last year when I was interning with the lovely photographer Bryan Lowe, I was asked to assist him at a corporate event where we would have the opportunity to photograph the Prime Minister.  Immediately I thought “oh no, what will I wear?!” View Post

Aussie Curves: Feminine [Take Two]

AUSSIE CURVES headerWith “feminine” back on the Aussie Curves challenge list again so soon, I had to think about what makes me feel feminine, and right now it’s the beautiful soft fabric of this dress from Harlow and a belt to accentuate my waist.

Aussie Curves: Celebrate

AUSSIE CURVES headerIt’s the first week of the second year of Aussie Curves, and I am really looking forward to the awesome outfit challenges that lie ahead. I hope you’re enjoying seeing how I style each look! This week the theme is “celebrate”.

I am celebrating myself.  My curves, my fat body, my glorious copper hair… I celebrate the unseasonably warm weather by baring my arms and legs and dancing in the sunshine. View Post
