Review: Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Over winter, have your lips become a little bit dry and chapped? The easiest way to get them soft and supple again is with a lip scrub. The Bubblegum Lip Scrub is a crowd favourite amongst my friends (the person who ate her way through one of these will remain nameless. Yes, it’s that good!), so I thought I’d give it a try.

“Prep your lips with a buff and polish at the start of your make-up routine to ensure your lipstick glides on and stays put. Just apply with a clean finger, and let the exfoliating caster sugar and softening jojoba oil scrub away dead skin and infuse moisture to rejuvenate your smile. Bubblegum lip scrub won’t leave any greasy residue; just a sweet candy taste that you’ll enjoy licking off. Lip-smackingly good.”

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

My verdict…
What a tasty way to get super soft lips! Once you’ve rubbed it in, you just lick it off – delicious! It tastes like candyfloss and smells like Lush’s super popular Snow Fairy Shower Gel, a scent that is super sweet and girly. I find this a bit more crumbly than the other Lush Lip Scrubs I’ve tried, so I recommend using it over a sink or in the shower (I learned the hard way – no lip scrubs in bed!). It leaves my lips soft and smoochable, and is the perfect way to prepare your pout for lipstick. Although it’s a bit too sweet for my tastes, I know many of you will love it.

SHOP IT: A 25g pot of Bubblegum Lip Scrub is $11.50 from your local Lush store or order online.

Have you used any of Lush’s lip scrubs before?
I’d love to know what your favourite is, or if there are any you think that I should try!

Disclaimer: I tried this product courtesy of Lush but all opinions are (as always) my own.

Mint Julips all the way 😀 (although bubblegum is the one currently by my bed if I am honest)
