I was beyond excited when my friend Margot Meanie announced that she was releasing a collection with Society+. Margot has such fantastic style that I knew even before I had a chance to look at the collection, there would be at least one thing I would need to add to my wardrobe.

There were a few things that I liked the look of, but this olive high low dress screamed out to me so loudly that I simply couldn’t ignore it. I knew the colour would be amazing with my hair and skin, and I thought this would be perfect with leggings or jeans (or maybe bare legged if you don’t mind that the front is quite short).

The dress arrived within less than a week of placing my order (holy mackerel that’s some quick shipping!). Society+ measures each item to make sure the sizing is accurate and shows their clothing both on bloggers as well as on their models (high five for body diversity!), so it was a perfect fit and looked exactly how I had envisioned it. This is what online shopping should be like.

So tonight I wore the dress as a tunic and paired it with jeans and boots (it’s because all my Northern Hemisphere friends are talking about fall fashion, I swear), and headed off to the opening of #florarosestudio. Florist Rosie (from Rose Tinted Flowers), who I know from my work in social media, and botanical stylist Gemma (from Flora n Fauna) have paired up to open this gorgeous pop up shop where you can come and get your beautiful bouquets and botanical treasures to make life more beautiful. It’s at 216 Jervois Road in Herne Bay, so if you’re in Auckland make sure you pay them a visit.

The plants would make a lovely addition to your home or office, and if you’re like me and are not very good at keeping plants alive (a moment of silence for all the plants that didn’t survive), there are air plants.

For those that love fresh flowers (my faves are peonies, amaryllis and ranunculus, in case you were wondering), you can get a gorgeous bouquet made or even sign up for a subscription for regular flower deliveries, what a neat idea! I’d love to have gorgeous fresh blooms in my home on the regular, what a treat that would be.
