Living with anxiety

Trigger Warning: Mental Health, Anxiety

New Zealand style blogger Meagan Kerr talks about living with anxiety

My anxiety isn’t cute. It’s not a something to be romanticised or played down. It’s not a trend. It can be incredibly debilitating, isolating and frustrating. A lot of the time my anxiety is quiet – from the outside I might look fine but inside I’m so overwhelmed I can’t even manage simple tasks.

I find it really hard to talk about mental health stuff, not because I’m ashamed (well maybe sometimes it’s that), but more because finding the words to describe what I’m feeling is hard. I know, me – a writer – struggling for words, it’s not what you’d expect is it? View Post

Review: Modibodi Period Underwear

New Zealand plus size fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears Modibodi Period Underwear

Something you should probably know about me is that I’m not afraid to talk about things that others might consider taboo – especially when it comes to our bodies. And so I tried out the Modibodi period underwear, I made a video about them and took some photos of what they look like on – because I’m a blogger and that’s what we do. View Post

Modibodi sent me some pairs for review and I've also purchased a few pairs of my own. Posts may contain affiliate links. Tips To Help You Sleep Well

This is Meagan Kerr Tips to help you sleep well

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you possibly already know that sleep has been a struggle for me for a long time. I’ve found it hard to get to sleep, hard to stay asleep, I’ve had poor quality sleep … and it’s a struggle to get up in the morning because I’m bloody exhausted. Sound familiar?

My sleeping habits are by no means perfect, but I’ve found a few things that are really helping me sleep better – and I’m not talking about the stuff you already know like not using your phone before bed and making sure you don’t have a TV in your room and that kind of thing, because TBH I am always gonna use my phone and have no plans to move my television (and nowhere else I can put it). Let’s get real. View Post

Self Love Advice

Self Love Advice: Margot Meanie @margotmeanie

How do you get started on the path to self love? What about if you’re struggling, what do you do then? When I think back to when I made the conscious decision to stop hating my body, it was other blogger babes and Instagrammers that inspired me to begin that journey. Over the years I’ve come across other amazing humans who continue to help me along my self love journey with their own posts. It’s been a journey, sometimes one that takes me one step forward and two steps back, because our relationship with our bodies, with ourselves, it’s not linear. There are days that we might struggle and that’s okay. I reached out to a few of my friends and asked them what advice they’d give for someone who was just starting out on their self love journey, or someone who was struggling – this is what they said.
