Trend Tip: Emerald

Emerald is the Pantone 2013 Colour of the Year. It’s also the birthstone of all those born in May, myself included…

I thought I’d share a few fabulous ways you can be on trend with your wardrobe and accessories, and look so good everyone else will be green with envy…

I love the lace detailing on this frock.  Winter might be on the way, but this dress makes it seem like Spring. Team it up with a masculine blazer and a classic clutch. View Post

I snuck in to the DMONIC INTENT Pop Up Store while they were setting up ... so many things that I want! Image: Meagan Kerr

I dropped by the DMONIC INTENT Pop Up Store while they were setting up … so many things that I want! I love that the garments are arranged by colour – I’m a grey and navy gal!

Heads up! My good friends at DMONIC INTENT have a pop up store running from today (Tuesday 23rd April) at in the Cross Street Arcade (214 Karangahape Road)! They’re selling a whole bunch of their amazing garments, hats and jewellery, which you may have seen at New Zealand Fashion Week over the last couple of years, and some art that you’ve won’t have seen (but should consider buying because it’s awesome!). Hats to keep you warm as the weather cools down

It’s definitely starting to get a bit chillier now, the perfect time to invest in a snazzy hat to keep that precious brain of yours warm and functioning (no one likes brain freeze!). Hats are a great way of changing up your outfit without spending loads of cash.

nzgirl asked me to compile a list of my top ten hats for cooler weather, so here they are!

I find it really hard to find a hat that I think suits me, so I tend to go with styles I already know and love.  The fedora is my go to hat, and I’m loving this navy woolen fedora from Redcurrent (also available in burgundy). View Post

Editorial Shoot with Cassie Ace

Cassie Ace is one of my favourite models to work with, and we have collaborated together on a number of fun projects. I’m also proud to count her amongst my very best friends, and she’s someone that I talk my ideas over with quite often.

When I shared with her my vision for where I’d like to take thisismeagankerr.com, she got as excited as I did. Like me, Cassie is curvy. And like me, Cassie loves great fashion – clothes, shoes, you name it. So we figured that there must be many other curvy gals who love fashion too! This blog post is for you… and hey, stick around. There will be much more future content for you too, as I search for all the best plus sze fashion.

Here’s a wee collaboration between myself and Cassie. We wanted to show a couple of the amazing swimsuits that are out there for plus size gals. I’d love to hear what you think of these beautiful swimsuits (I really want the Bondage Bathers by Gisela Ramirez!).

Cute cardigans (and other luscious knitwear) for Autumn

I’m a bit confused about what’s going on with the weather at the moment – one minute it’s chilly and gloomy and the next thing I know, the sun is blazing! I have the perfect solution – slouchy, preppy knitwear that you can slip in and out of as the weather changes. Here are some of my picks for the season…
