DIY Mickey Mouse Nail Tutorial

In this step-by-step tutorial I’m going to show you how to do some cool Mickey Mouse themed nails.  We’ve done them in Minnie Mouse colours (pink and white, with a bit of rainbow glitter) for an extra girly touch, but you can use any colour combo you like.

Lumos Base and Top Coat

Start out by applying a base coat.  This step is so important that I dedicated a whole blog post to it! I recommend Lumos by Famous Names because it reduces the drying time – bonus!

Review: Dermalogica PreCleanse

I’ve been using Dermalogica’s PreCleanse for a little while now, and have to say that I’m really liking the results…

Dermalogica Precleanse

Dermalogica PreCleanse is a plant-based cleansing oil that melts away layers of waterproof makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, residual skin products and environmental pollutants that build-up during the day. It contains olive oil to smooth and soften skin, apricot kernel oil to soothe irritation, nourish and moisturise the skin and borage seed oil, which is widely used for treating inflammation, eczema, dehydration and scaliness. It also contains vitamin E oil, a rich antioxidant that helps minimise lipid peroxidation in the skin and improves skin smoothness and softness.

How to get fabulously fierce Fashion Week hair

I didn’t get a chance to head down to Wellington Fashion Week this year, because I’m super busy with my final year of uni (which means no fun trips away for me, boo!).  However, I have been avidly watching the instagram/twitter/facebook feeds to see all the goings on.

One show I wished I could have been at was the AW’13 Group Collections Showcase, which featured Trelise Cooper, Moochi, twoWORLDs, STORM, Mondegreen, Sabatini at Goodness, and Taylor. What a wonderful collection of designers!

Something that caught my eye was the hair styling – I love the edgy look pictured above!
