You know summer is just around the corner when your fave fashion labels start releasing their resort wear! 17 Sundays put out their lookbook this week, and it’s worth checking out…

“For this collection we have focused on print. Hand painting is one of our strengths at 17 Sundays and we have brought some of our best work to our resort collection.
We have included placement prints and embroidered sequins, rope weaves and calypso bead detailing along with bespoke embellishing.
The artwork in this collection evokes the essence of an Australian summer, electric colours, sun bleached BASICS and earthy, ombre water paints team back with new silhouettes perfect for glam city nights or beach holidays.
We are introducing some new fabrications in this collection, with slinky cotton silks and luxe woven rayons.
Resort 2013 is fun, fresh and easy and the perfect way to celebrate the HEAT.”
My favourite item in this collection is the BASIC Fit & Flare Dress. I am lucky enough to already have this in black (see it on me here), and can confirm that it’s one of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever worn and it looks amazing on. I now want one in all possible colours…
This is pretty much the perfect casual summer outfit. I need some of the Drawstring Boyfriend Shorts in my life (you can get them in black or watermelon), because they’d be perfect for covering up my bikini when I leave the beach to go and get an iceblock, and just for generally hanging out in. Only problem is, which colour should I choose?
I also really like the Stud Sleeve Dolman Sweatshirt – it’s oversized and looks like the ideal combination of comfort and style (and a great coverup for when the sun goes down and you start to feel chilly).
