Woodland Fairy

One thing I’ve noticed sneaking back in to fashion lately is bell sleeves and I just wanted to say that I, for one, am pretty damn happy about it. I remember seeing them as a teenager and I have loved them ever since – there is just something so wistful and dreamy about them, and that makes them perfect for light floaty summer pieces like this dress.

Another cute detail is the keyhole neckline (great if you want to show off a little bit of cleavage but not have a big expanse of boob on show). I really like the metallic tips for the tie, they’re the same as the ones on my black Island Hopper dress and they’re such a sweet little detail.

The detailed floral print on the dress is pretty sweet too, and I think it’s a great print to carry through from spring to summer to autumn. Hope & Harvest does prints really well – as you might have seen from some of the pieces they showed on the catwalk at Melbourne Fashion Week Plus.

I keep coming back to the bell sleeves. Honestly, I just can’t get enough. If I could get more clothes in black, with stretch fabric and bell sleeves, I would be a happy wee woodland fairy.

While I remember, a couple of fit notes just in case this is something you were looking at wearing. It’s a generous fit, and Hope & Harvest recommended sizing down, but I went with my regular size because it doesn’t have any stretch and I don’t mind it oversized. That was a good decision because while the dress is generous the arms are a regular fit. The dress comes with a belt made of the same fabric, which I have tied around my upper waist to give more definition, but you can tie it as high or low as you like.

Hope & Harvest are having a sale at the moment, so if you want to nab this dress for 50% off you can use the code FLASH50 at the H&H online store, until midnight on January the 19th.

I’m in America. Do these places ship here? Also I like my shirts to be at least 30 inches long. Do you have an idea about that. Love your style. You look great.

Hi Evalyn, I’m pretty sure Hope & Harvest ships to the US – you’ll need to check out their website. I’m not sure about shirt length, I imagine it would depend on what style you’re looking at, and I’d suggest you contact the brand directly.
