WIWT: DMONIC INTENT kaftan

I popped by NAKED Empire – The Style Syndicate last weekend, to check out what amazing things they had in stock. They stock stuff from DMONIC INTENT, SYRE, L.S.D. (Little Sister Designs) and Ahoy Cutie to name just a few, and while I was there I tried on a gorgeous “one size fits all” DMONIC INTENT kaftan. I didn’t expect it to fit me, because DMONIC INTENT is a straight size range that goes up to a 14 and I’m obviously much bigger than that, but when the girls urged me to try it on… well.

The company I’m working for has been office-less for the last few months, with everyone working from home while we hunt for the perfect office space. We finally found it, and moved in last weekend. No longer can I work from home in short shorts and a tank or my pyjamas, I get to actually get dressed and see other people (okay, I may have been going a little stir crazy…)!

Personally, I’m not huge on the whole Valentine’s Day thing – why reserve those gestures of love for just one day a year? And why is there so much pressure to spend money? I prefer to show my beloved that I love him in little ways throughout the year, like packing his dinner to take to work every day, picking him up so he doesn’t have to walk home in a storm, and going out to eat delicious things in our favourite restaurants just because. Fat, yes. Lazy, not so much.

When I was at uni, I was juggling three jobs and full time study; my eating disorder was starting to take over my life again and exercise was one of those things that I never seemed to have time for. I was getting a maximum of five hours of sleep a night, and I was stressed all the time. My friends and family can attest to the fact that I was not managing that work/life balance at all. View Post
