200 Women

200 Women, by Ruth Hobday, Geoff Blackwell and Kieran E. Scott

The other day I wrote about the need to see more plus size women represented in the media. It always excites me when I see plus size women being included in projects and campaigns without having a song and dance from a company about “look at us being all diverse and inclusive”. And that’s one of the things that got me excited about the book 200 Women. It features women who are famous and unknown; celebrated and marginalised; of many cultures, ages, sizes, and backgrounds. Review: Remington Revitalise Facial Cleansing Brush

Remington Revitalise Facial Cleansing Brush Review

When I clean my face it takes me about ten seconds – splash it with water, rub a bit of token product in for a few seconds, then wash it off, right? Nope, apparently I’m doing it wrong. A lot of us are. It takes time to clean your face properly, you need to work the product in and give it a chance to do it’s thing. I’ve made two changes to my skincare routine that make it take a bit longer, but it makes my skin feel so much nicer! View Post

Review: Lush Sleepy Body Lotion

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion Review

A whole bunch of people have noticed the Sleepy Body Lotion from Lush in pictures and videos of my bedroom, and have been asking me questions about it. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, so I thought maybe it was time I finally got around to writing a review.

I feel like I’m that girl who is forever on the hunt for the ultimate products to help me sleep, probably because I work super hard for way too many hours and then stay up until all hours watching Netflix/scrolling endlessly through social media. I know, it’s totally my own fault. One thing that helps me to relax and switch off is having a bedtime routine. Sitting down and applying the Sleepy Body Lotion before I go to bed helps me to moisturise my skin, get in touch with my body, and relax, all while doing something nice for myself. Ticking so many self care boxes! View Post

I tried this product courtesy of Lush but all opinions are (as always) my own.

Rainbeau Curves Review and Try On Haul

Rainbeau Curves plus size activewear review

I’ve been wearing Rainbeau Curves activewear for quite some time now and it’s one of the brands I often recommend but I’ve never made a video about them or shared many pictures of me wearing it. Time to change that! View Post

Review: Remington Smooth & Silky Ultimate Cordless Wet/Dry Epilator

Remington Smooth & Silky Ultimate Cordless Wet/Dry Epilator

After I had surgery on my knee earlier in the year I had to reassess what kind of hair removal I was using. Fact is, standing in the shower shaving my legs takes a long time and put a lot of strain on my fragile knee. That, combined with the amount of water that gets used while you’re shaving? Time to try something new.

I’ve tried waxing and depilatory creams, but waxing is expensive (to get my arms and legs done would cost $70 every four to five weeks – might not seem like much to some people but I’d rather spend my money on other things like getting my nails done). While I find depilatory creams effective, the hair grows back faster than I’d like. Laser hair removal is out of my budget for now, and so I decided to try an epilator. The last time I talked about hair removal, lots of you mentioned that was what you used, so I put my fears aside and tried out the Remington EP7036AU Smooth & Silky Ultimate Cordless Wet/Dry Epilator.
