15 plus size coats for autumn

And just like that, lazy summer days have gone and autumn is upon us in all it’s cold, windy, rainy glory. The key to surviving the cooler months is making sure that you’re toasty warm, and unless you’re able to stay in bed wrapped in blankets like a burrito, your best bet is to grab a warm coat and layer up – so here are a few of my favourite plus size coats for autumn.

Plus size jeans under $100

Winter is coming. And with it, jeans weather. I spent years trying to find plus size jeans and now I find myself overwhelmed by choice. Straight leg, bootleg, jeggings, short length, long length… whatever kind of jeans is your jam – it’s out there! A few of you have mentioned that you’re on a budget, and I hear ya! I’ve gone on a hunt and found some great plus size jeans for under $100.

Flannel shirts and flat caps

I’ve been in Rotorua over the last week for the Crankworx mountain biking festival, and decided to channel my inner mountain bike babe in skinny jeans, flannel checks and a flat cap. It’s a style that’s a little bit different from my usual girly look, but it really got me in the mood for wearing more checks this autumn and winter. And more flannel. And a cap. Oh dear, what’s happening to me?

The Divergent Series - Insurgent

I love stories with strong female protagonists, and they’re pretty much my go to when it comes to reading. Before Divergent came out, I read the whole series of books on the recommendation of a few of my friends in the USA and thought that they were amazing. When the first film came out, I fell in love again – this time with the costuming. I know – typical style blogger, right? Almost all of the clothing in Divergent was made especially for the film, with costume designer Carlo Poggioli doing an amazing job of designing outfits for each faction that really represented them and reflected their traits.
