Make Me Up: Back To School

One of my 30 x 30 resolutions was to experiment with make-up more, and so I thought I’d hold myself accountable by regularly sharing my made-up face with you! Today is the first day back at uni for me, and I’m super excited because it’s my last semester ever (I know I’ve said this the last two times I studied, but shh).

Monday is my longest day – I have back to back classes all day and then am working until 8pm – so my make-up needs to be long lasting and suitable for both uni and for work.

FOTD 220713I’ve kept things quite light, as I prefer a more natural look for during the day. I’m so in love with Benefit’s Benetint for my lips, it gives them a gorgeous rosy stain. I’m not happy with the finish of my make-up today, because it’s kind of flaky and not the beautiful smooth finish that I usually get from from my BB cream.  I’m not sure why this is, but if you have any thoughts, please let me know! I did make sure my skin was well moisturised before I started, but I’m thinking that maybe either the moisturiser wasn’t quite dry or I didn’t work it in to my skin properly?

Thanks Kate, do you recommend any particular brand or are they all pretty much the same?

I personally use urban decay all nighter because it actually locks in your makeup 🙂 but any makeup finishing spritz will work. Like MAC fix+ or other water based sprays 🙂
