As a big busted babe, I find it incredibly difficult to find really great button up shirts. Things that are made to fit my bust just don’t seem to be made to fit the rest of my body (and vice versa).

In my late teens and early 20’s I worked in finance (possibly not what you’d expect from me, but I loved it!), and office attire was usually button up shirts, and suit skirts (or pants) with jackets. I was much less busty then than I am now, but even then I felt like it was a struggle to find tops that didn’t threaten to pop a button at all times.

Fast forward fifteen years or so, and I don’t work in an office anymore – I work from home, so can basically wear anything I like to work. However, I know there are a lot of you out there who do need to wear things like this for work, so every now and then when I find great officewear I want to tell you about it. That’s what friends do, right?

Anyway, I tried on this 17 Sundays shirt (which comes in both black and white) not expecting it to be a good fit in the bust, but I was happy to find that I was wrong. Not only does it fit comfortably, but it has amazing buttons inside the part of the shirt that usually gapes on me. In the past I’ve sewn that part shut or pinned it, but I was bloody stoked to find a designer has finally made accommodations for gals like me who have big tits that just seem to want to break free!

Regardless of whether you work in an office or not, I think a good quality button up shirt is a great thing to keep in your wardrobe. It’s a great go to for job interviews, important meetings and … any occasion when you want to look professional and put together without too much effort. This is why I have a business-y skirt and a blazer in my wardrobe as well – while I don’t need to wear them day to day, I do have times when I need to look more corporate for a meeting with a client.

What kind of clothes do you wear to work?

Oh yes, I know the big-busted-button-struggle all too well! How clever (and awesome!) that 17 Sundays have thought of a way to combat this, and so stylishly! It’s a beautiful shirt 🙂
