Aussie Curves: Pink

This week’s Aussie Curves theme was pink, but I have a confession to make: pink is not a colour that features in my wardrobe, apart from the occasional accessory. So I thought I’d do my pink post on how to accessorise with pink…

Pink 3

Step one: Pink lipstick. I’ve chosen Maybelline New York‘s Color Sensational Vivids lipstick in hot plum for a super bright pop of colour.

Pink 4

Step two: add a cute pink scarf. Mine was a gift from a friend about six years ago, and has skull & crossbones on it.  It’s sweet but a little bit badass.

Pink 2

Step three: add a sweet tote and a cheeky smirk. My neon pink and white Juicy Couture tote was a gift from nzgirl.

Pink 1

Step four: add optional sneakers with pink accents.

That’s the best bit about pink, you can add it as a simple pop of colour. I think it is often overshadowed by it’s cousin Red, but you have shown how it can be used to great effect 😀

I have to admit, I’m more of a red gal than pink! However, now that I am wearing more navy blue, I think hot pink pairs amazingly with that! You never know, I might find an amazing hot pink piece at some point!

Thanks Katie! I have only recently become comfortable in front of the camera again (I threw myself in the deep end and did some nude photos for a uni assignment) so very glad I don’t come across looking as stiff and awkward as I did a few months ago!

The lipstick colour looks brilliant with your hair and the black outfit.

Thanks! I’m not usually one for bright lipstick (I prefer lip balm), but I really like this one!
