Wrap me up

Wrap me up: Meagan Kerr wears Harlow One Night Wrap

One of the things I love about the weather cooling down is the potential for wearing snuggly knits. One of my favourite knits to snuggle up in is a wrap – they’re super versatile and there are so many ways to wear them.

Wrap them around your shoulders like a cardi, drape a longer end over your shoulder like a scarf, secure it with a brooch, add some shape with a belt, put it over your knees like a blanket… you get the point. I think it’s a case of the bigger the better when it comes to wraps – this one is so long that I’m able to wrap it around myself like a dress (and then some), which means you could even snuggle under it with a buddy! My personal favourite way to wear a wrap is draped around my shoulders, so I can really snuggle in to it.

I’m already feeling the cold in Wellington so this would be perfect to wear wrapped around my shoulders on the way to work, then drapped over my legs while sitting at work.

My kids love to play peek a boo in it while strangling me- does that count?! Hehehe

Love to wear it over my shoulders and if on the couch I can drape it over my curled up legs – super snuggly! Love the look of the size of this one

I would wear a wrap around my shoulders until I am at my desk at work where I would put it over my knees to keep me warm while I work

I’d wear the wrap like a snuggle blanket at home & out around my shoulders in an avant garde fashion! 😜😊

Over my shoulders and perhaps loosely pulled up like a hood and wrap when outdoors (so easy to shrug back onto shoulders when back inside)
Wraps are definitely for snuggling in winter 😊

I would wear it wrapped around my shoulders so that my hands would still be free to work

  9. May 16, 2016 / 1:16 pm

I love to wear them draped around my shoulders and wrapped around my front, like a big cuddly blanket. When I’m on the move, I wear them like a scarf and knot them. This is SO pretty and snuggly.

Wow, I love the look of the wrap, so warm and cosy. I must say I have never worn one but would love to experiment with some of the styles you have mentioned.

I like to wear as a shoulder and head wrap on those ‘gotta stay up and read one-more-chapter’ nights in Winter.

My fav way to get wrapped up is getting my two darling daughters with me and getting a big blanket and having cuddles with them. πŸ’œ it so so much because that will only last a little while until they grow up

I solemnly promise to wear it as a beautiful and glamorous cardigan alternative…however I cannot rule out the possibility of me using it as the best BatCape ever!!!

Over the shoulders and attractively wrapped when outside – on the couch, how’s that for a delightful cuddly warm comforter?

I don’t own a wrap so this would see me wrapping up in style. I’d love a black one, and draped the way you have it in the second picture.

I need this in my life! I still find Auckland fairly mild in winter and don’t often wear a coat, but this would be perfect! I love the drape way like a cardigan. But so many options, the versatility is ideal!

I’d love to win a black one, great for when I’m working at my desk and its a bit chilly I can pop it over my legs or my shoulders. For a night out wrapped over with a colourful pin to hold it in place, better than a big bulky coat.

  22. May 14, 2016 / 5:15 pm

I love wearing a knit as a cape, not the superman kind but the classy “is that a jacket or a cape?” Kinda cape!

    • May 15, 2016 / 4:18 pm

I think I’m going to have to also wear it as a superman cape haha

I love the versatility of a good wrap! I love to wear them as a shawl over the shoulders and with the edges flicked over the shoulders – kind of like a super size all covering snuggly scarf!!! This would be perfect for that πŸ™‚

I love to draw them over my shoulders leaving the ends to hang so when it gets really cold I can grab them and wrap it around again and snuggle under it.

  26. May 14, 2016 / 12:37 pm

This wrap is gorgeous! How snugly for winter! I love throwing one around my shoulders and pinning the one side up, keeping me toasty at work xxx

It’s great to wrap your left shoulder up high first then right shoulder – so your arms are free to move and carry. I’d like the marle colour, too. Black is always beautiful but I’d probably look like a hobbit in a cape!

  28. May 14, 2016 / 10:36 am

I love the black and white wrap – I would wear it as a gianormus! scarf or round my shoulders.

Nothing better than a wrap around the shoulders on a chilly winters day, they’re the perfect article when it’s too cold for just a top but not cold enough for multiple layers or coats. And you can never have too many wraps!

I love just lying on the couch and snuggling up in my wrap.

  31. May 14, 2016 / 9:11 am

I flick one side over my shoulder. All wrapped up like a beautiful burrito. Hehe. All about the black a white also xx

These look lovely and light to wrap ourselves in now that winter is knocking on the door. I like a wrap just to wrap around myself but I might try it on kimono style with a belt , as that looks good . Black or grey marl they are both stunning.

Wraps are amazing! Hamilton is just too warm to wear a gorgeous winter coat but a wrap is perfect. I can also snuggle my little boy up in it too with me for cuddles

I usually wrap my wrap around my shoulders so it hangs down my back to make me feel snuggled😊This one looks like I could wrap it around my head and shoulders and look all sexy eyed..I could stand looking dramatic and mysterious and maybe catch the eye of a hot man needing a cuddle!!!😚😚😚

I adore wearing wraps belted. It accentuates my waist, gives me a focal point and dresses up the best fashion secret of all time… getting to wear a blankie! Wraps are absolutely my favourite winter wear. Along with boots… boots are up there too. πŸ™‚

    • May 11, 2016 / 6:05 pm

You’re so right – when it all comes down to it, it’s a blanket and what better way to keep warm?!
