Mine is more is less, don’t over do it. Natural for day and more dramatic looks for night. Many girls/women load it on to the point where it is unflattering and can even make you look years older then you need to look. It’s better for your skin too, try and have a couple of make up free days a week or on those days where a very small amount to give your skin a break 🙂 But do have fun and experiment, just find a healthy middle ground!

Don’t be afraid to use colour, it maybe look scary in the tube but completely different once on! If you like it rock it, don’t worry about what others may think. 😊

Instead of lining your water line with dark eyeliner, use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye.

This product really does sound awesome! I need help as after having 2 kids & getting older…don’t think my old products or style are cutting it anymore…never was that great anyway

  10. December 12, 2015 / 11:45 am

I really want to try this- I’ve recently tried BB cream as I realised there was no way my skin copes with thick foundation anymore. Most days I keep it simple and just put eyeshadow and eyeliner on- my main beauty strength is in maintaining good eyebrows and I neglect the rest, haha.

a good skincare routine and a good base before applying makeup. Always keep a good packet of makeup claensers or micellar water next to your bed so you don’t ever have an excuse to not remove your makeup before going to sleep 😀

I need help with making my make up last the entire day! I powder when halfway through when my make up starts fading, but it makes me look cakey! Eep!

Having my makeup stay on while on the dance floor or just at work would be awesome.

  21. December 5, 2015 / 4:11 pm

My top tip is: Only put foundation where you need it, not all over your face. I learnt this when I was studying beauty therapy many years ago. I have generally very good skin – but when it’s breaking out, it sure makes a difference to only put the foundation on the bad bits. Gives the rest of your face time to breathe.

  22. December 5, 2015 / 8:42 am

Have run out of current primer so would love to try this one

I’ve learnt to put my moisturiser on then walk away for 10 minutes, then apply my make up, it seems to blend in better

I wish I knew what REALLY gets rid of blackheads/blocked pores. My nose is covered

  25. December 5, 2015 / 7:11 am

Less is always more! Coming into an NZ sticky humid summer, if you can get away with a little concealer (on top of primer) and translucent powder on your t-zone, you’ll be much happier than with a face full of foundation.

    Actually remembering to moisturise!

  27. December 4, 2015 / 10:03 pm

Make sure you have decent lighting when putting on makeup. I lesson I learn just recently, bulb had broken, carried on doing makeup, got into natural light and it looked terrible, went back inside and fixed it lol.

Get a great brow shape, tint and lash tint…….then you only need a bb cream and a lippy and you are good to go!

  33. December 4, 2015 / 6:52 pm

My top tip would be to own a few top quality products you love. The rest you can fake.

Never under estimate the power of a good mascara. Even if you have sparse lashes a good mascara makes all the difference and really helps complete a look whether its natural or bold. I never feel made up without mascara.. Its such a feel good cosmetic!

Mine is to fill in your brows. Few people have amazing brows naturally, so most people benefit from even a little help!

  36. Stephanie Gardner
    December 4, 2015 / 11:24 am

Oooo this actually sounds amazing! Primer is the best – so helps with keeping makeup long lasting, especially in the hot summer

  37. December 4, 2015 / 8:49 am

The best thing that works for me is using a CC cream as a primer under foundation gives me a much better finish than without, and it has sunscreen in it too for these hot days 😊

  38. December 4, 2015 / 1:48 am

My top tip is to use a good primer…but I still haven’t found the perfect one yet! 🙂

  39. December 4, 2015 / 12:08 am

Check your foundation blending in the mirror in the car, it shows up any patches really well 🙂

My top tip is invest in a few good quality makeup products that you will use everyday and not handfuls of cheap products you will only use a few times, you’ll save on money and space and you can buy products that make your skin look amazing and last throughout the day plus some that have skincare benefits.

  42. December 3, 2015 / 10:48 pm

I’m a big fan of Dermalogica especially the daily microfoliant! I need to work on my eyeliner game 🙂

  43. December 3, 2015 / 10:35 pm

Love your review on the Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer. I always use Primer underneath my foundation to get that beautiful finish. I am also a big fan of Dermalogica and would love to try this Primer. 🙂

Wow – these primers look amazing. I’ve heard really good feedback about them.

My tip for make up is to keep your skin primed well. That is with moisturiser, primer and concealer. Then foundation sits so much better. Thank you Megan

    Sounds great!!

  54. December 3, 2015 / 10:51 am

I think i need help applying foundation properly 🙂 I either end up looking like a cakey mess or I smear it just about everywhere 🙂 I would love to be in the draw to win a Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer to apply as a base.

I need help with uneven skin tone – I have pigmentation and blotchiness! This sounds divine!

  56. December 3, 2015 / 10:48 am

My top makeup tip is to keep it simple. I wear glasses so there isn’t much point to getting s lot of makeup on the eyes. I find if I get those brows on fleek and layer up the mascara I have a pretty look that my glasses don’t overpower!!

YAS – I am also a massive fan of Dermalogica but haven’t tried this! Would love to give it a go :). I need help with learning how to do liquid eye liner. I think in the new year I’m going to treat myself to a few make up lessons!

I’m still trying to master liquid liner too – I can never get it looking amazing!

Eyebrows, I need eyebrow help! I have such fair eyebrows and pencil and powder them in, sometimes they look great and sometimes they look shocking. How do you get them looking consistently fab?

    • December 3, 2015 / 1:20 pm

I get mine tinted to make them darker and avoid product as much as I can. When I do use product I use it sparingly.

  61. December 3, 2015 / 8:54 am

Wow, your skin looks amazing in the review! I don’t really have any make up tops, I never feel like I am very good at make up! I need help with finding a concealer that covers my blemishes for the whole day – Maybe this primer underneath would help that??

    • December 3, 2015 / 1:21 pm

I never use concealer but I have just bought one so will see how it goes…
