Versatile Workwear

New Zealand fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears plus size workwear staples from Taking Shape

Finding great plus size workwear can be hard sometimes. As a fat woman with a big bust, button up shirts are not really my friend. Tops are often too short or low cut or made from fabric that makes me feel sweaty. So when I find things that would be good for the office and are actually comfortable, of course I need to share them with you. View Post

One of the reasons I started my blog was so that I could carve out my very own self-indulgent space on the internet. A place to talk about plus size clothes (rather than the pieces that stopped at a size 16 that I’d previously written about on other sites). A spot where I could be honest and open about my life as a fat woman. Where I could connect with other rad humans about the things that were going on in my life, or were important to me. View Post

Plus Size Coats

Rainy Days: Cute and Comfy Plus Size Coats

Every year I get people asking me where they can find really good quality plus size coats. Depending on where you are, it can be cold, windy, or wet… and if you live where I do it can be all three in one day, especially in winter and spring (and if this year is anything to go by, summer and autumn as well)! I’ve done a bit of hunting and found options for all kinds of weather, so snuggle up with a cuppa and take a look. View Post

My workwear picks

Plus size workwear

I get so many people asking me where to find plus size workwear that I thought I’d scout out some ideas for you. As you know, I work from home and my days of dressing for the office are over, but I do really enjoy helping other people finding clothes they feel confident and awesome in, so let’s do this.

There are a lot of different dress codes out there when it comes to office outfits – some people have to have their shoulders covered; some must wear a suit; some can be as out there as they like. Then there’s the combination of what you want to wear – a blouse and tailored trousers, a skirt with a top, a blazer, a matching suit, a dress, with stockings or without? View Post

15 plus size coats for autumn

And just like that, lazy summer days have gone and autumn is upon us in all it’s cold, windy, rainy glory. The key to surviving the cooler months is making sure that you’re toasty warm, and unless you’re able to stay in bed wrapped in blankets like a burrito, your best bet is to grab a warm coat and layer up – so here are a few of my favourite plus size coats for autumn.
