Review: Body Glide

Body Glide anti-chafing balm

Every year I get people asking me what I use to help with thigh chafing, or chub rub. I’ve written about this a few times before (here and here). Lots of people have suggested Body Glide, so last summer I picked some up and gave it a go. Now that I have thoroughly tested it over the last year, I want to let you know what I thought. View Post

My Skincare Routine | Dry + Sensitive Skin

Meagan Kerr's Skincare Routine for Dry and Sensitive Skin

It’s been a while since I last talked about my skincare routine, and lots of things have changed since then so it’s time for an update. My skin is often dry and sensitive (and even more so when the seasons are changing or I’m traveling a lot), so I’ve learned to stick with what works and not change products too often. It’s all cruelty free, and all of these are things I’ve been using for a while unless otherwise mentioned.  View Post

Review: Remington Revitalise Facial Cleansing Brush

Remington Revitalise Facial Cleansing Brush Review

When I clean my face it takes me about ten seconds – splash it with water, rub a bit of token product in for a few seconds, then wash it off, right? Nope, apparently I’m doing it wrong. A lot of us are. It takes time to clean your face properly, you need to work the product in and give it a chance to do it’s thing. I’ve made two changes to my skincare routine that make it take a bit longer, but it makes my skin feel so much nicer! View Post

Double Cleansing

Double cleansing step one: Dermalogica Precleanse Balm

When you wash your face, how well are you actually cleaning it? I remember in my teens and early twenties, that I would wash off my makeup and still wake up with panda eyes. Or sometimes, not wash my makeup off at all… I know, naughty. When I did wash my face, it was only a vague attempt with a makeup wipe or a quick scrub with a face cloth. Drunk early 20’s Meagan just wanted to fall into bed, she didn’t care about cleaning her makeup off!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that I actually need to take care of my skin. Part of that is making sure I clean it (properly). I was introduced to double cleansing in my 30’s, and I haven’t looked back. View Post

Dealing with stress

Feeling stressed? Check out these tips for dealing with stress

Everyone has some kind of stress in their lives – it might be studying for exams, a new baby, having a looming deadline, a big event coming up … it looks different for all of us. At the moment, my main form of stress centres around being unwell and my recent surgery – pretty unsurprising, really.

For me, stress shows up in a few ways. I feel exhausted but find it hard to sleep; I find it really difficult to focus; I start burning the candle at both ends; I snap at people around me; my skin breaks out and it also affects my appetite. Obviously not ideal! Dermalogica launched their new Stress Positive Eye Lift recently and it got me thinking about how I react to stress. I wanted to share how I make sure I’m looking after myself when I am going through a stressful time, and give you a chance to try out some of that Stress Positive Eye Lift for yourself. View Post
