First Look: Chocolat SS17

New Zealand plus size designer clothing SS17 Chocolat

I always get really excited when Chocolat releases their lookbooks, because this New Zealand label has pieces that wow me season after season. You’ve seen me wearing pieces from them before (take a look here and here if you need a reminder) and loved them, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pieces from the latest collection – let me know what you’re loving! Why you should invest in your wardrobe

Lost and Led Astray Tuck Hem Dress (4XL) and Oval Resin Necklace

Since spring cleaning my closet this year, I have tried to be more conscious of the things I’m adding in. Rather than spending small amounts of money often on things that will wear out quickly or will only last a season, I’m choosing things that will last a long time. Sometimes these things will cost a little bit more, and I need to save up for them – but trust me, the decision to invest in your wardrobe is one worth making. View Post

First Look: Chocolat SS16

First Look: Chocolat NZ Plus Size Fashion SS16

Last week I popped over to High Society’s Auckland headquarters to meet the team (including amazing designer and fellow Gisborne gal Sheryl May) and check out the new season looks for Chocolat, their plus size range. You might have seen me wearing Chocolat before, but I think that this season’s collection “High Spirits” is better than ever so I thought I’d give you a wee peek at some of my favourites. These would definitely be investment pieces for me because they’re great quality high fashion pieces, and I know I’d get a lot of wear out of them. View Post

Sam Cranston Fearless Plus Size Style

What is your favourite place to shop?
I love City Chic, they have such a great variety of styles, stunning evening dresses and fantastic jeans. I do buy dresses from “the internet”, but always with a sense of dread because sizing can vary so much between brands. I prefer to try clothes on before I commit to them! As a busy Mummy, I tend to buy my basic everyday items from Farmers and Kmart. View Post
