Boohoo Plus Clothing Haul

New Zealand plus size fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears black Torrid tee and terracotta boohoo Plus Jersey Pleated Midi Skirt with Ziera Mason Sandals

As someone who has been keenly following what’s happening with boohoo Plus over the last five years, I’m pretty excited that things are improving. Not only are there now more options in the plus size range, fits are better and the size range is bigger. Nice work boohoo – that’s the kind of progress we want to see! I picked up a few pieces from boohoo lately that I thought would see me through spring and summer – here’s a peek at what I picked and how it fit. View Post

One of the reasons I started my blog was so that I could carve out my very own self-indulgent space on the internet. A place to talk about plus size clothes (rather than the pieces that stopped at a size 16 that I’d previously written about on other sites). A spot where I could be honest and open about my life as a fat woman. Where I could connect with other rad humans about the things that were going on in my life, or were important to me. View Post

I know it’s been a hot minute since the Black Friday sales were actually on, but it took a while for some of my stuff to arrive and then the holidays happened, so we’re a little late. I still wanted to share what I picked out though, because some of these pieces are great staples, and they’re things you should know about, and I’ve got some info to share about fit and shipping and whatnot. Mother of Dragonscale

I’m not really doing anything for Halloween this year but I really wanted to dress up anyway because well, hello. I decided to dress up to the Halloween theme for the re-opening of Lush’s Newmarket store a couple of weeks ago and this may (or may not, we’ll see!) be the outfit I wear for Halloween as well. Yesterday an article on Stuff mentioned that size 18 is the top seller at New Zealand department store Farmers. They also mentioned that many New Zealand retailers only go to a size 14-16 – something that many of you wish wasn’t the case. One of the things so many people say to me about New Zealand plus size fashion is that they would love to have the options available in straight size – there are so many different designs, prints and colours that are difficult to find in bigger sizes – especially if you want to shop in store and be able to try things on!
