Review: Lush Sunny Day Hair Spray

Meagan Kerr uses Lush Sunny Day Hair Spray to keep her long hair tangle free

Where I live it’s really humid and I’m one of those people who is forever trying to fight my frizzy hair and for a while it seemed like my knotty hair and the flyaways would win. I’ve been using the Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler from Lush for about six months now and I have to say that I’ve never received so many compliments about my hair as I have in that time!

Sunny days
Sweeping the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Does your smooth, shiny hair only last as long as good weather? There’s no need to keep Jekyll and Hyde hair under your hat, try this anti-static, violet spray if frizz is stealing your hair’s thunder. Hardworking ingredients such as honey and fresh lemon juice counter the static charge of frizziness, keeping your locks smooth and glossy for longer.

Lush Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler

After I’ve washed and conditioned my hair, I towel dry it then mist the Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler over it before running my Tangle Teezer brush through it. Sunny Day is a great detangler, and as someone who only brushes her hair before and after washing it, detangling is something my locks need a hand with!

It’s got Ylang Ylang and fresh lemon juice, but the scent that stands out most for me is the violet! I use a violet shampoo and conditioner, so basically my hair smells as violet-y as it possibly can and I love it.

MY VERDICT: Sunny Day Hair Spray doesn’t leave my hair silky smooth when the heat and humidity are at their peak but it does a great job in milder conditions. When the humidity is high, it does help to tame the frizz a bit and detangle it. I’m on to my second bottle now and I will definitely continue to purchase this product to keep my locks tangle free.

SHOP IT: A 100g bottle of Sunny Day is $16.50 online or from your local Lush store.

It lasts for ages too! I think my first bottle lasted about 4-5 months? So worth it.
