Review: Lush Aqua Marina Facial Cleanser

Lush Aqua Marina Facial Cleanser

I have Lush’s Aqua Marina Facial Cleanser to thank for how amazing my skin has been looking lately. Like, so amazing that people keep commenting on it…

This is Meagan Kerr

The only makeup I’m wearing in this photo is lipstick… doesn’t my skin look great?

I’ve been using Lush’s Aqua Marina Facial Cleanser for about three weeks now, but I started noticing a difference in my skin after only a few days. It’s a skin-softening cleanser with calamine and aloe vera to soothe irritated skin, especially when you’ve been caught by the sun or the wind. It also contains kaolin to cleanse deeply and tighten your skin a little. I noticed all of these benefits almost immediately, which was pretty surprising.  I decided to keep using it to see if it really was the Aqua Marina facial cleanser that was making the difference, and it was!

When I opened the tub of Aqua Marina Facial Cleanser, my first thought was “this is what mermaids must clean their faces with!” It looks like pink mousse wrapped in fresh seaweed – seriously mermaidy, right? You just grab a little bit out and mix it with some water to form a paste, smooth it on to your skin and then wash it off – super easy!

My verdict…
Considering the amazing results I’ve had from this cleanser, I have to say that I’m hooked! It’s vegan, cruelty free, and it makes my skin look and feel wonderful. My pores are smaller, my skin is clearer with fewer breakouts and my eczema seems to have disappeared. I will definitely be getting this cleanser again and would recommend it as being ideal for anyone with sensitive skin.

I’ve been using their Love Lettuce face mask, I had a small break out after week 1 but found it to be great after that. And at $16 what a bargain, all natural ingredients too, although I had to keep it in the fridge my kids thought it was a treat haha!!

Sometimes I have breakouts after first using a new product – I think it’s because it’s my body adjusting to new things. Definitely worth keeping at it though. Love Lettuce is such a nice facemask! I tried it last year and I loved that cool feeling when it was fresh out of the fridge 🙂
