Hall Summer 2015 sq

I love discovering new designers doing plus sizes, even more when they’re from right here in New Zealand! HALL is designed and made in the Wairarapa using natural fibres, and simple, minimalist shapes with a strong aesthetic. HALL is strongly committed to locally produced high fashion and sustainable practises, and has gorgeous clothes for women who wear sizes 10-24. I really love their summer 2015 collection, so I thought I’d share a few of my faves with you!

HALL clothing NZ S15070 Black Box Tee FDJ Olivia Jean Delight Wash

I love this outfit – it’s so casual and cool, making it perfect for summer. Whether you’re heading out for a picnic in the park or doing your Christmas shopping, this outfit is simple and stylish.

SHOP IT: HALL Black Box Tee (10-24) $180;  FDJ Olivia Slim Leg Jean in Delight Wash (10-18) $269

HALL clothing NZ Swing Slip in Ink Cropped Tee in Blush Jacket in Blush

Dark colours in sheer fabrics are perfect for warm summer weather (especially if you’re like me and love black and navy all year round!), and when you pair them with pastels it’s a great contrast. HALL has some stunning cropped tops this season – unsurprisingly I am swooning over them!

SHOP IT: HALL Swing Slip in Ink (10-22) $288;  HALL Cropped Tee in Blush (10-24) $210; HALL Jacket in Blush (10-24) $285

HALL clothing NZ S15012 Black Linen 3/4 Pants S15017 Spot Box Dress S15031 Jacket in Silver

Light coloured neutrals are great if you’re spending a lot of time outside this summer (anyone else experienced the “melting in a sea of black” in summer?). I especially love greys and think the way this outfit has been layered up is gorgeous.

SHOP IT: HALL Spot Box Dress (10-24) $295; HALL Jacket in Silver (10-24) $285; HALL Linen Three Quarter Pants in Grey-Black (10-18) $269

HALL clothing NZ S15049 Ink Drape Dress

This knit dress is gorgeous, and I want it in every colour (ink, watermelon and slate)! I love the soft drape and the flattering fit, and think this is a great dress for summer – add your favourite pair of shoes, a statement necklace and a cuff, and this is the perfect summer dinner dress!

SHOP IT: HALL Drape Dress in Ink (10-24) $240

HALL clothing NZ S15035 Blush Batwing - FDJ Olivia Jean Delight Wash

The loose fit of a batwing top is great on those sticky summer evenings when you want to look fabulous but you are so hot you feel like you’re melting. It’s soft, drapey and perfectly oversized.

SHOP IT: HALL Batwing in Blush (10-24) $274; FDJ Olivia Slim Leg Jean in Delight Wash (10-18) $269

HALL clothing NZ S15051 Black Boat Tee - S15045 Black Knit Knickers

I really like this outfit! It’s casual and cool, which makes it great for warm summer. I realise that people might have divided opinions about the pants, but I am super intrigued by them. They kind of look like a cross between a skirt and pants, with a drop crotch and cuffs that sit just above the ankle.

SHOP IT: HALL Boatneck Tee in Black (10-18) $144; HALL Knit Knickers in Black (10-24) $170

See something you love? You can buy it online, at one of HALL’s fabulous New Zealand stockists or pop in to their Greytown store!

Hey, thanks Teri! I can’t wait to see the new season range! xo

I’d never have heard of these guys if it weren’t for you. I wish I could say that I’m going to go and spend a lot there right now but my budget is more ASOS on sale at the moment. Mind you this stuff looks like it will last longer so will be good ‘investment’ pieces – something lacking in the plus size category for so long.

I’m trying to get more classic investment pieces, definitely worth saving up for! xM

I must admit after having another look I think I might get that batwing top – I do love it, what was quite funny after I wrote the above or below comment, I thought that shit I have no worries about spending huge amounts of money on makeup and do not really think twice about it – but thought twice about this – maybe a Christmas present to myself 🙂

I totally recommend the batwing tops. I’ve got, um, two and wear them all the time. It’s painful handing over the money at the time but completely worth it. Keep an eye out for the sales and it’s not so bad.

I think if I came home in those knickers I would promptly be single haha

I think after Christmas I might need to start getting some moolah together and I bet in a few of these pieces. Admittedly, the price is a deterrent, but the local & sustainable aspect is quite appealing – and this range is just my style! It’s hard to get our heads around paying $180 for a shirt, but it’s just so important to support local (NZ is local to me right?) designers and give them the chance to make their mark on the fashion world – ESPECIALLY in plus fashion.

Enough ranting. Love this, love you! Thanks for sharing xx

Haha I don’t think my boyfriend is a fan of those either 😉

I’m trying to spend my money on clothes from local (NZ and Australia) designers, pieces that are well made and cut to fit my shape. I have so many things that really weren’t made with the plus body in mind and I’ve had to adjust them or be uncomfortable in them – NO MORE! Beautiful things that make me feel fabulous only! xo

Love them, but so out of my price range…. 🙁

I love that they use natural fibres and are committed to locally produced high fashion and sustainable practises. This is the kind of thing I’d save up for (and I’d have to save for a little while!), as an investment piece. Especially that drape dress *swoon*
