As I’m sure many of you will know, this year I made the decision to stop buying skincare and cosmetics from companies that test on animals. It was a pretty daunting move to make, not just because I didn’t know a lot of cruelty free brands and had been caught out before by brands who claimed they were cruelty free but really weren’t, but because it also meant turning down work with a lot of big names in the beauty industry. You know what? I don’t regret it one bit! I have discovered so many amazing skincare and cosmetics brands that are widely available, thanks in large to stores like She Lives Cruelty Free, and I’m glad that my money isn’t supporting animal testing!

I’m using my old products up too – it doesn’t make sense to waste them! I’m replacing as I run out instead. Most of what I was using was cruelty free anyway though, which is rad.
