Cute cardigans (and other luscious knitwear) for Autumn

I’m a bit confused about what’s going on with the weather at the moment – one minute it’s chilly and gloomy and the next thing I know, the sun is blazing! I have the perfect solution – slouchy, preppy knitwear that you can slip in and out of as the weather changes. Here are some of my picks for the season…
Nicola Knitted Cardigan - $50 from boohoo.co.nz

Nicola Knitted Cardigan – $50 from boohoo.co.nz

This oversized cardigan is ideal for snuggling up in over the cold winter months as well, and will look amazing paired with skinny jeans and ballet flats. Be on trend with this cardi in navy or wine, or go neutral with cream, stone or black.
ASOS CURVE Elbow Patch Cardigan - AUD$41.06 from ASOS

ASOS CURVE Elbow Patch Cardigan – AUD$41.06 from ASOS

After recently watching all six seasons of Gossip Girl, I am loving the preppy look that is often seen in the show. This cardi is on my must have list for my final year of university – and I’m pleased to note that it’s currently on sale for AUD$23.81!
City Chic Cutout Sleeve Jumper - AUD$89.95 from City Chic

City Chic Cutout Sleeve Jumper – AUD$89.95 from City Chic

This Cutout Sleeve Jumper from City Chic is pretty bold in terms of style – I don’t know if it’s my style, but I can definitely see a couple of my fave gals looking amazing in this. Perfect for snuggling up on the couch or stepping out in style! City Chic currently has this on sale for AUD$71.96.
Glassons Belted Merino Cardigan - $59.99 from Glassons

Glassons Belted Merino Cardigan – $59.99 from Glassons

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not such a fan of my hip/butt/waist region, and know that the length of your top can make a huge difference as to whether this area is emphasised or  not. I love long belted cardigans, as the fabric allows me to cover up the areas I don’t like while leaving the parts I do like somewhat uncovered.
Mirrors Engineered Stripe Cardigan - AUD$139 from The Iconic

Mirrors Engineered Stripe Cardigan – AUD$139 from The Iconic

I love the way this cardigan falls at the front – perfect for wrapping around yourself when it gets a bit chilly! I’m also loving the stripes – hurray for monochrome!
ASOS CURVE Waterfall Cardigan - AUD$45.98 from ASOS

ASOS CURVE Waterfall Cardigan – AUD$45.98 from ASOS

Yep, definitely loving that drape! This cardigan looks like it’s made from a lighter fabric, so ideal for right now when the weather is swinging between temperatures rapidly (it was 37 degrees Celsius at my friend’s house in Whangarei the other day – crazy hot!). I can’t make up my mind between the rich navy and the grey though – they’re both so nice!
Colette Knit - AUD$66.03 from Nasty Gal

Colette Knit – AUD$66.03 from Nasty Gal

Oversized knits are the best thing to wear when the weather starts to turn – you can pair them with pretty much anything, including tights if you’re hanging around home (not is not the time to get into the “tights vs. pants” debate, but trust me – I’ll get to that soon!). Camo prints are trending at the moment, so this oversized olive knit is my nod to that trend (not so keen on actual camo print though, sorry!).

Have you got your Autumn knits all wrapped up? What’s your favourite piece in the gallery?
