I have the worst case of FOMO right now. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been dreaming about  attending a show dedicated entirely to plus size fashion, and now that it’s actually happening I can’t go!

The Curvy Couture Roadshow is on Sunday the 30th of March 2014, and it’s the first plus size fashion event to be associated with the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival as well as the first event to showcase so many independent Australian plus size designers in one place.

New Zealand label Lucabella will be showing at Curvy Couture Roadshow 2014

I’m so excited by the amazing designers/brands that are involved with Curvy Couture Roadshow this year, including Fox Parse, Meri by Design, 17 Sundays, Harlow, Seraphim and our very own Lucabella from New Zealand (woohoo, represent!).

Excited yet? A whole event dedicated to fabulous fashion for the fuller figured woman! I’d be on the next plane over if I could (sadly my physio put the kibosh on that idea – no travelling until my knee is completely healed!)…

My favourite designer is you. I know you don’t really design the clothes you wear but I love your fashion sense. I’m a short cuddly size and I find it hard to put clothes together as I don’t seem to have any fashion sense.

I am totally loving Hope & Harvest (Australian label). They have some seriously amazing pieces out there, that fit me perfectly! Can’t wait to see what they bring out for winter!

Chocolat – Sheryl May! Although pricey – Gorgeous clothing pieces!! So many lust listed items on the Winter 2014 range – love the regal dream dress.

I second this – I love Sheryl May (a designer from my home town!) and am so pleased that she’s now designing for Chocolat!

We’re all alike then. I lived in Gisborne, Australia for the first 18 years of my life! Too funny.

        • March 16, 2014 / 3:01 pm

Whaaaaaat? I had no idea there was a Gisborne in Australia! How neat!

Yup! It’s in Victoria. We even have a sister Maori taonga in a botanic park which was carved from whalebone and greenstone by someone from over in Gisborne, NZ. Unfortunately it was stolen a few years back and a replacement was out it by but someone else.

Next time I’m in VIC I might have to pay it a visit 😀

I like 17 Sundays, but glad you mentioned some other brands for me to “google”. Would love to see the fashions on models that the clothing has been designed for.

🙁 I was so excited about the brands you posted. But now I’m sad because I’m a student and can’t afford it. I need new clothes. Nowhere cheap fits. Can you suggest somewhere that has fitting clothes? For some reason the warehouse clothes don’t fit me yet Pagani does! (Pagani is very fancy though and I just want casual!!!!) 🙁 So sad. :/

    • March 10, 2014 / 9:15 pm

I hear ya Jana – I’ve been living on a student budget for the last four years! Rather than going cheap, I save up my pennies and buy stuff when it goes on sale 😉
