The Great Cover-up

New Zealand plus size fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears V-Neck Tee from Torrid, Warpaint Joggers from 17 Sundays and Floral Kimono Duster from Hope & Harvest with ASOS DESIGN Wide Brim Pork Pie Hat from ASOS

In winter, we wear coats to keep warm. But in spring, summer and autumn, when the weather is unpredictable or you want to layer without melting, it’s all about kimonos and duster coats. They come in different lengths, colours and prints, and it seems like my wardrobe is full of ones I’ve collected over the years. The latest addition is this floral one from Hope & Harvest, and it’s my first real foray into this full length style. View Post

Business As Usual

As a big busted babe, I find it incredibly difficult to find really great button up shirts. Things that are made to fit my bust just don’t seem to be made to fit the rest of my body (and vice versa).

In my late teens and early 20’s I worked in finance (possibly not what you’d expect from me, but I loved it!), and office attire was usually button up shirts, and suit skirts (or pants) with jackets. I was much less busty then than I am now, but even then I felt like it was a struggle to find tops that didn’t threaten to pop a button at all times. View Post

Review: The Tight Spot

When I worked in an office, stockings were an absolute essential to help me keep warm in winter. I still get a lot of people asking me where to buy plus size stockings, so I like to keep up to date with what’s out there. When The Tight Spot reached out and offered me a couple of pairs to review, I jumped at the chance, because they have some great brands of hosiery (both plus and straight size) that I’ve been wanting to try. Lady in Leopard

There is something about leopard print that makes me feel like an excited child and a sassy bitch all at once. I’m pretty picky when it comes to prints and patterns, but I love all kinds of leopard print and feel like it’s basically a neutral when it comes to putting my outfits together. View Post

Rainy Days

New Zealand plus size fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears 17 Sundays Cartel Coated Denim Jacket / Weatherproof plus size jacket

When I first saw this jacket in my Instagram feed I knew I needed it in my life. You know when you see a piece of clothing and just know that it’s meant to be? Anyway, I asked how it stacked up against the rain (because finding a weatherproof plus size jacket has proven really hard) and the 17 Sundays team described it as Melbourne proof. Knowing that Auckland and Melbourne are pretty similar climates, I figured it would be perfect for my needs so when they asked if I wanted to road test the Cartel Hooded Jacket in New Zealand for them, I jumped at the chance.
