Casual weekend style

My work style and my weekend style are very different – when I’m working I want a polished look, but in the weekend I’m all about being comfortable and casual. Jeans and a tee, activewear that can be worn for yoga (or to walk up to my favourite café for brunch), or tunics that I can wear with leggings. Outfits that let me do what needs to be done around the house, spend time with my family and friends, and let me relax while still looking good.

Activewear is pretty simple for me – leggings and a crop top with a singlet or long sleeved top, depending on the weather, and my trusty Nike sneakers. I prefer my activewear to be fitted so that if I’m doing yoga my top isn’t riding up when I’m upside down, but if I’m out for a walk then a slouchier top is fine. Farmers has a really great selection so you can find a combination of things that work for you.

I love exercise clothing that I can wear out for a walk or to a yoga session that is comfortable enough to wear out to grab a coffee afterwards, and another of my essentials is a backpack to carry things like my keys and my drink bottle so I’m not trying to juggle my stuff. What are your essentials?

Superfit Curve 3/4 Sleeve Slouch Top (4XL) RRP $49.99 | Superfit Curve Pink Panel Leggings (4XL) RRP $69.99 | Nike LunarGlide 6 Flash (US 9, purchased from Nike Platinum). The SuperFit Curve range is available in store at Farmers.

Jeans and a tee are a really basic go to for me – they’re super simple to throw on with a pair of canvas sneakers and go. I wore this to go out for brunch with friends, but would also wear it to go to the supermarket, run errands and just hanging out with family and friends.

This tee is a basic one but holy moly – it’s the softest shirt I’ve ever worn! I sized up for a slouchier fit and actually think I might have to stock up on a few more because this definitely fits into my category of “wardrobe essential”. Jeans are another wardrobe essential, and I decided to go a little out of my usual fitted style and go for more of a relaxed fit this time round. I like the slouchy style and think it’s perfect for the weekend. What cut of jeans do you prefer?

Wild Child Essential Short Sleeve Top (4XL) RRP $44.99 | Wild Child Jeans (26) | Jemma Hi Top Sneakers (39, purchased from Rubi Shoes). Wild Child’s denim range is available in store at Farmers.

Depends on my mood – and how much time I’ve got! When you’ve got a baby, your sartorial choices get a bit more limited 😛 I love jeans and a tee or top, but also love my dresses too.

I’m all about comfort clothes in the weekend opting for leggings, long shirts, socks and abandoning the bra if I’m staying at home. 😉

I need a few good everyday T-shirts. I used to get them from Kmart because they were cotton and soft and easy to wear. Now they’ve added some sort of stretch material and it’s not as comfortable at all and it bubbles a LOT. I really miss those old essentials from Kmart as they were the easiest to wear.

I’m very much a jeans and t-shirt with trainers girl – love the comfort of the clothes and also that you can still look good and head to dinner as well. I must look for the t-shirt as I love wearing soft t-shirts.

Nothing beats that comfy casual feeling! I think you’ll love those tees, they’re seriously the softest I’ve ever worn!

Love these! I wear corporate all week so there is nothing I love more than a comfy tee and jeans or leggings in the weekend.

Thanks lady! Comfort all the way in the weekend I reckon, especially if you have to dress corporate during the week.

That black Tshirt is exactly what I am looking for! Black top with jeans and chucks is one of my fave outfits ever.

PS yay for the pug! Super cute!

OMG you will die – it is SO SOFT! I need to buy more, I’ve worn it at least twice I week since I got it. Best tee ever.

My weekend look varies a lot. Last weekend I barely got out of my pjs, and other weekends I might be all glammed up! My exercise essentials are tight and bright!

I love those PJ weekends – so good when we get that miserable rainy weather, there’s nothing better than snuggling up.
