Over the weekend I went along to the Lovely Larger Ladies NZ fashion event – a plus size fashion show that we have been really hanging out for here in New Zealand. I’m going to be doing a full write up of the event (stay tuned for that), but for now I thought I’d give you a peek at my outfit.
I was invited along as a guest speaker to talk about my body love journey and to give some practical tips about how to love your body. What better item of clothing to wear than a crop top that bares my midriff?
I spied this one on Skorch Magazine Editor in Chief Tiffany Kaelin-Knight and knew that I had to get it. I’ve been on the hunt for a caged bra for ages but they don’t seem to make them in my size #bigboobproblems Luckily I got this caged crop top (actually, I got two), which is perfection. I can totally see me wearing this a lot over summer!

Hi Meagan, Happy New Year! Am thinking of ordering one of these tops and just wondered if it has any boning or underwire in it? Society+ doesn’t mention. Am wondering if it would work for swimming in?
Hi lovely! No boning or anything, just the fabric. I would say not great for swimming, although mine is a bit big on me so if you had a tight fitting one then maybe but personally I’d go for a proper bikini top instead for the support

Thanks! Unfortunately the skirt is too big for me so it only seems to sit nicely when I’m standing still. It’s been my favourite for a few years though so maybe I will need to buy another one that fits better!
