When you wash your face, how well are you actually cleaning it? I remember in my teens and early twenties, that I would wash off my makeup and still wake up with panda eyes. Or sometimes, not wash my makeup off at all… I know, naughty. When I did wash my face, it was only a vague attempt with a makeup wipe or a quick scrub with a face cloth. Drunk early 20’s Meagan just wanted to fall into bed, she didn’t care about cleaning her makeup off!
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that I actually need to take care of my skin. Part of that is making sure I clean it (properly). I was introduced to double cleansing in my 30’s, and I haven’t looked back. View Post
I’ll be honest, a lot of the time my life isn’t nearly as exciting as some people might imagine. Most days are along the lines of: get up, eat breakfast, reply to emails, do some kind of exercise, get some work done, eat lunch, then more work until it’s time to make dinner. In the weekends, I work. Public holidays, I work. When I’m not working, I’m watching Netflix or spending time with my family. I’m basically your average gal juggling work and family life. However, there are some times when I actually leave the house for something other than a workout, so I thought I’d start doing the occasional vlog so I can share some of my fun adventures with you. TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual assault
There have been a lot of discussions online recently about sexual assault and sexual harassment, from high profile cases in the media to within my own friend group. As a survivor of sexual assault and someone who has encountered harassment many times, I have found this discussion really difficult, as it’s brought back a lot of memories – especially around not being believed and the way I was treated when I spoke up about my own experiences.
Last night I saw many of my friends sharing this on Facebook and on Twitter: “If all the people who have been sexually harassed, assaulted, or raped wrote “me too” as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.” You’ve probably seen it in your own social media feeds, because the magnitude of this is enormous. A whole bunch of people have noticed the Sleepy Body Lotion from Lush in pictures and videos of my bedroom, and have been asking me questions about it. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, so I thought maybe it was time I finally got around to writing a review.
I feel like I’m that girl who is forever on the hunt for the ultimate products to help me sleep, probably because I work super hard for way too many hours and then stay up until all hours watching Netflix/scrolling endlessly through social media. I know, it’s totally my own fault. One thing that helps me to relax and switch off is having a bedtime routine. Sitting down and applying the Sleepy Body Lotion before I go to bed helps me to moisturise my skin, get in touch with my body, and relax, all while doing something nice for myself. Ticking so many self care boxes! View Post
Okay babes, it’s almost summer and that means time for swimming! I’m such a keen bean that I’ve already bought some new swimwear and I’m ready to go (once it’s a bit warmer!), so I thought it was time to kick off my annual swimwear special. I’m going to do things a little bit differently this time round – rather than grouping them by bikinis, one pieces etc I am going to do a bunch of plus size swimwear specials with a whole bunch of goodness all mixed in. This is because ranges are released at different times and I don’t want y’all to miss out just because I might have already posted about a style already! It also means that if there is a particular style you like to wear, you can let me know and I can try to keep an eye out for it – so let me know what you love! View Post
