Aussie Curves: Time Saver

AUSSIE CURVES header

Mornings are usually an early start for me – I’m awake about 5.30am, take a quick shower and get dressed, then head in to work to make sure I get a car park.  Parking near my office is limited, and if I’m not here by 7am then I either have to park much further away or spend a minimum of $30 a day on parking (not particularly sustainable!).

I can easily waste half an hour in the morning deciding what to wear, so to save time I have started choosing my outfit the night before. This also means my long-suffering boyfriend doesn’t have to be woken up by me rummaging through the closet trying to decide what I want to wear!

One of my go to looks for autumn is a top (preferably long sleeved – it’s cold y’know!) paired with a high waisted skirt. I add a belt to define my waist and stockings to keep me warm (I have a whole post about stockings for fat babes coming up – keep an eye out for it!), and finish off the look with ankle boots. If it’s particularly cold I might add a cardigan or a coat, and I always wear a scarf and gloves to and from work.

I don’t usually leave the house with wet hair when it’s autumn or winter because it takes so long to dry. Ahh the curse of the long thick hair! Instead, I wash it at night before I go to bed (hello beautiful waves, styled in bed!) or on days when I am working from home.

My go-to colours are black and navy – they never fail to look smart and always make me feel well put together.

So, my top time saver tips for selecting an outfit?

  • Know your wardrobe and have a few ideas about what goes with what
  • Have some basic pieces that can be worn interchangeably: 5 skirts + 5 tops = 25 different outfits!
  • If you have an early start (or prefer to sleep in), choose your outfit the night before
  • Use accessories to make a simple outfit look more styled

Looking great as always! Your skin is ask always so clear and glowy!

I’ve been keen to try out boohoo so I must ask about the sizing – how have you found it?

Thanks Anita! I have a post coming up about my skin over the next little while 😉

The boohoo sizing is kind of touch and go – I got everything in my usual size and half of it was too small – I ended up giving it to a friend who is 2-3 sizes smaller than me. I would definitely get recommendations about fit before you buy!!!

Hello! Thanks for the advice! That’s the annoying thing about shopping online :/ the inconsistency! I do love that skirt you are wearing though – it looks like a perfect go to black skirt…!

I read you skincare tips post! Some solid sound advice! I am 31 years old and people regularly guess my age to be between 24 – 26! I suspect I need to take heed of your number 5 tip to improve that number!
