Aussie Curves: Sparkle

I never really considered myself to be the kind of girl who wears sparkles. But, then this cape happened…

This is Meagan Kerr | Aussie Curves Sparkle: NYATA Flying Philly White Sequinned Cape

This is so freaking perfect for summer – the light airy fabric that billows in the wind, the little bit of shimmer from the sequins on the sleeves and shoulders… stunning!

I think I’d ideally like it a size bigger – I’m wearing an L – both for some extra arm room (I have quite fat arms) and so that it would cover a little more of my chest and I could wear it belted. Regardless, it makes me want to strut up and down my concrete path like it’s a catwalk.

See? Lots of sparkle! Everyone totally needs a cape like this – it will make you feel super badass!

Do you have something in your closet that makes you feel like a supermodel?

Awesome cape! You can definitely still belt it left open. Fun leggings too 😉

Sequins always make me feel a bit like a supermodel. Live that cape – it’s fab x

Lovely embellished sleeves, this is the way I would wear sequins – subtle and beautiful. x

I think the white is perfect for Summer! Wearing black when the sun’s shining is a drag.

    You look beautiful, Meagan.

Thanks Linda! I could wear black all the time haha

Love the cape. That is so cute, I love little touches of sparkle on clothes. I have a dress that cost far too much money, but that I absolutely had to get because I felt so glam wearing it! Hehe. Nope, I hardly wear it, but I like admiring it on it’s hanger! 😛

What a supermodel indeed, you knock-out, you! That cape is too cool.

AND YOU’VE HAD A MAKEOVER! Love the new design Meagan, it looks fantastic!

Thanks Corrine! And yep, I sure have! More changes to come, but I think I’ll save that for summer when my workload is a bit quieter 😉

Love the little sparkle on the shoulders! I’m not game enough to wear it just yet (maybe if the sleeves were longer and it was black) but I’m now on the lookout for something that sparkles x

I would love this with longer sleeves in black! I actually think that would make me wear it more, because I don’t wear white very often

How cool!! I can totally imagine walking around just to get it rise behind me like a cape!!
Plus I love how you’ve used a slip as a dress!!

Thanks Charlene! Back in the ’90s I’m pretty sure everyone wore slips as outerwear – with jeans and everything. I’m partly horrified that something I’ve worn is now back in fashion, but also glad that I have a few more ideas on how to wear it!

Wow, I love that cape! Wish I could justify the cost though 🙁

I say if you really love a piece the it’s worth the investment! I’m trying to go for more investment pieces rather than fast fashion – they last longer and really are worth paying extra for!

I completely agree, just wish the bank account would allow it! One day again 😉
