Aussie Curves: Double Take

Aussie Curves: Double Take - Meagan wears ASOS Curve Exclusive Skater Dress on Coral/White Spot Print

I’ve been an impoverished student for the last four years, without a lot of money to spend on clothes. over this time, I’ve become quite adept at wearing my clothes in new ways to change things up a bit and to make it seem like my wardrobe is much more extensive than it really is. And so, I was quite excited when Aussie Curves “Double Take” was announced – what a great opportunity to show off different ways of styling something!

This is a new dress that I’m going to be wearing to a wedding in a few weeks. I’m loving coral so much right now!

Okay, so this thing happened this week. I was putting away laundry (housework, always a dangerous past time!) when I twisted around and had part of my body move while part of me stayed still. Long story short, I dislocated my knee and have injured the ligaments and now have 6-8 weeks of rest and physio ahead. That means no more beach trips this summer, very limited mobility and relying on crutches to help me womble about.

An injury won’t stop me from taking outfit photos and blogging, dagnabbit! It may slow me down a little, but you can’t get rid of me that easy!

To change my outfit up, I added my favourite ASOS Curve skater skirt – it’s much longer than a lot of their regular skater skirts, meaning it can be worn high waisted or regular length and not expose your butt (hands up who has had that problem with the regular length ones, I know I have!). I also added a belt, just to break things up a bit and further define my waist.

So, that’s me for another week. It’s Auckland Anniversary weekend so I’ll be enjoying an extra day of resting my leg. Being injured has really forced me to slow down and chill out, and it’s kind of nice! Although I’ll never take my mobility for granted again…

Which look do you like best?
I’m so in love with this dress that I can’t decide!

Loving the dress as a top, that’s my favourite. But then I love a good dress as a top moment myself. Haha. Loving this colour on you and I HOPE your knee recovers quickly.
