This week I really wanted to pay tribute to a woman who has had a really big impact on myself (and I’m sure on many of you as well) and whose body positive message is heard by many people all over the world. Her #effyourbeautystandards tag on instagram is a constant source of inspiration to women (and some men), and I’ve recently been told that I bear a striking resemblance to her, so who better to choose this week than the fabulous Tess Munster?

Today I’ve based my look on the outfit Tess wore for her birthday party in July this year, how cute is it? Sadly I didn’t have a lace top that would have allowed me to replicate Tess’s outfit, but I decided to tuck my tank top up and bare a bit of midriff!

A year ago, I wouldn’t have even dreamed of baring my arms and my midriff, but armed with the knowledge that I can be fabulous at any size I am now much more confident in my clothing choices. Expect to see a lot more of my bare midriff over summer!

Thanks to Tess for being so empowering to women of all sizes – I hope I’ve done your gorgeous style justice!

    Oh! From the first photo I thought you were styling to be Lana Del Ray! But then reading on, I think you did a brilliant job as Tess! I look forward to seeing more of your midriff, because YES, you can be fabulous at any size and you are totally ROCKING that outfit!
