I bought this top a few weeks ago on a whim. I don’t usually wear light coloured clothing, and it’s quite sheer so I need to wear a plain bra underneath (something that has thus far proven impossible in my size). I tried it on and loved the fit, the fabric and the print so much I bought it anyway and decided I’d just “figure it out later”.
My hunt for a black tshirt bra continues, but I did recently buy the elomi swim bra I mentioned in my swimsuit special, so that’s standing in for now. It’s so comfortable that I just feel like I’m wearing a regular bra, so if you’re on the hunt I highly recommend it.
With a black bra I actually don’t mind the sheerness of this top. I guess you could wear it with a nude bra but to be honest bras are very expensive and I really don’t have any other need for a nude bra, so black it is.
To dress up my monochrome outfit I had to go for a little bit of sparkle in the form of my favourite 17 Sundays jacket and a kiss of red. I realised recently that I really only wear one lipstick (it’s Violet Mousse by Karen Murrell – check out this post to see what it looks like on me), so I’m trying to branch out a bit and am loving this red (which is True Love by Karen Murrell).
