2015 Nail Art Inspiration

Over the last few months I’ve been seeing some amazing nail art, and found so many things that I want to try on my nails this year. I thought I’d share a little bit of inspiration  with you and see what you’re loving this year (and what you’d like me to try out).

Petite Peinture Candy Stripe Nail Art

As you know, I am a lover of all things striped. Any chance to incorporate more stripes into my life, and I’m there! So unsurprisingly, when I saw these delicious candy striped nails on Petite Peinture I was in sherbet striped heaven. I love this combination of colours and I think that this will be perfect for spring and summer!

Blush Baby Almond Nails with Neon Nail Art

In the past my nails have either been rounded or square or squoval, and I think it’s time to try a different shape.  I love the look of these almond shaped nails by Nicola from Blush Baby, and am determined to rock some beautiful almond claws sooner rather than later! What’s your favourite nail shape?

Chelsea King Negative Space Nail Art

Negative space nails made a huge splash at the end of 2014 and I haven’t had a chance to rock them myself yet. Nail artist Chelsea King has done some amazing negative space manicures, but this one would have to be my favourite. She’s used a great choice of colours and I love the different designs that she has chosen!

Penny Lazic Orange and gold chevron nail art

Orange and gold are two colours that work really well together. Add some holographic glitter and some chevrons, and you have a beautiful nail design that is both simple and looks awesome! I’ve had varying forms of chevrons before (these were my faves), but this manicure by Penny Lazic makes me want more more more!

Hello Tanya Minnie Mouse Becca Lee

I love the look of crisp white nails but I am so scared of getting them dirty! Fellow blogger Becca Jane Lee‘s latest mani by Hello Tanya has me determined to give them a go – especially with the cute Disney decal by Sara M. Lyons.

Petite Peinture Pink and Gold X nail art

Pink, gold and white is such a sweet colour combination, and the nails that Rathy from Petite Peinture did for her birthday are the sweetest of them all! What really caught my eye is the cross chevron detailing – I feel like I need this on my nails stat!

Nailed It NZ Pink and Purple Polka Dot Nail Art

I am always a fan of polka dots and there will definitely be more of these in my future this year! I love how Jessie from Nailed It NZ has done these pinky purple polka dots – check out her easy tutorial here.

Heather Vette Flamingo Nail Art

I’ve seen quite a few different takes on flamingo nail art recently, and really want to adorn my nails with these cute pink birds! Heather Vette made this super cute design pop with the addition of a glitter feature nail – love it! I think other cute animal designs are going to have to happen this year too, like these cat ones by Hello Tanya…

Penny Lazic Gold and White Crossed French Nail Art

Last year I discovered that I like French manicures a lot more than I thought I would. I’ve had them in their traditional form and in black on black, and now I want to change things up again. Penny Lazic did this fun new take on French tips with a gold glitter crossover, and I think it looks really nice. Such a classy look for summer!

Which nails should I get first? My next nail appointment is in a couple of days!
Come over to my facebook page and share your nail art inspiration.
