17 Sundays: A Love Story

This week I have spent some time reflecting on the things that I’m grateful for. The beautiful country I live in. A job that allows me to travel and work from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Being my own boss and setting my own hours so that I can spend time with my family. For the support of so many wonderful people and businesses that allow me to do what I do – blog about style and self love to empower women. Women like you. Women like me.

One of the first clothing labels to stand up and support me, to say “we believe in what you do and we want to be a part of your journey”, was 17 Sundays. They’re an Australian company that believes that fashion is self-expression and shouldn’t judge, stereotype, ostracise, or exclude. They’re about empowering women, and they do it with style. Their ethos aligns with my own, and their clothes are absolutely beautiful.

Their styles are fashion forward, and they do an amazing job of making plus size fashion as stylish as straight size fashion. Plus size women are no longer relegated to ugly prints that should have been burned in the ’90s or shapeless garments that drown our chubby bodies in fabric; thanks to designers like 17 Sundays that listen to what their customers want, we are now able to get gorgeous on trend clothes that make us look and feel great.

In case you are (for some reason) doubting my love for 17 Sundays – check out the number of times they appear on my blog. I would estimate that a good 25% of my wardrobe is 17 Sundays, thanks to the pieces they’ve so generously gifted me and the pieces that I’ve purchased from them. They made my first bodycon dress (and my second), the first pair of short shorts I’ve worn as an adult, and my first denim jacket. I wear at least one item from 17 Sundays every week (actually, I would say most days!). You know why? Because their clothes are well designed, long lasting, stylish and make me feel fantastic. I realise how much I sound like a walking billboard for this brand, but I’m serious. My love for 17 Sundays is real, people!

My mama, totes photobombing my selfie…

I could legit rave about these guys all day, but I think that all of these blog posts speak for themselves. Instead, I’ll remind you that you could win a sequinned jacket just like the one in these photos – make sure you enter here if you haven’t already. And I want to take the time to say thank you to you. For reading my blog and supporting those companies that do believe in what I do.

Do you have some 17 Sundays in your wardrobe? What’s your favourite piece?
